Preamble

Ye Chongguang

Ye Chongguang is a calligrapher and photographer. He has been a calligrapher and painter since his childhood, and he mainly studies “Zhong Yao”, “Lanting Preface” and “Shu Shu Shu” in calligraphy. He also studied painting at the Lingnan School. He also studied with Wang Chucai, a great calligrapher and painter in Lingnan.
He is now a member of the Guangdong Branch of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, a director of the Guangzhou Association of Calligraphers and Painters in Education, a director of the Guangzhou Calligraphers Association, and a member of the Guangzhou Photographers Association.
His works have participated in international, national, provincial, and municipal calligraphy and painting exhibitions and won many first prizes. Among them, he has won more than ten first and second prizes in national competitions and more than ten excellent tutors. He has also been awarded medals by the Ministry of Culture of China and the Ministry of Radio and Television of China.
His works have participated in the “Zigong International Lantern Festival Calligraphy and Seal Carving Exhibition”, “The First International Shen Long Award Calligraphy Art Exhibition”, “National Calligraphy Invitation Exhibition”, “Guangdong Taiwan Calligraphy Exhibition”, and “The First International Calligraphy Exhibition”. Guangdong Taiwan Calligraphy Exhibition”, “Guangdong Celebrity Calligraphy Exhibition”, “Lingnan Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition”, “Lingnan Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition of Famous Artists”, “Lingnan Art Calligraphy Joint Exhibition” and several “Guangdong Calligraphy and Seal Carving Exhibition”.
He has participated in many calligraphy and painting activities, such as the elegant gathering of famous calligraphers and painters from Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao. His works on calligraphy and seal carving and his articles on calligraphy have been published in many newspapers and magazines, such as Southern Daily, Guangzhou Daily, Yangcheng Evening News, Information Times, and Young Life. Guangzhou Daily reported his achievements in art and education in many articles, such as “New Talent in Calligraphy” (92, 1, 11), “Creative Calligraphy” (95, 4, 7), “Diligent Watering of Heart and Blood to Raise Book Seedlings” (95, 8, 22), and “Years of Honing and Training” (95, 5, 21) in the Information Times. From ’95 onwards. He has published a column on calligraphy knowledge in the “Little Artist Magazine” sponsored by the Guangzhou Cultural Bureau. The column has helped young people to learn calligraphy and has been well received by all parties.
His calligraphy and painting works have been included in “Who’s Who in Chinese Contemporary Art”, “Dictionary of Chinese Contemporary Young Calligraphers”, “National Invitation Exhibition of Calligraphy Works”, “Selection of Excellent Works of Chinese Young Calligraphy and Seal Carving”, “Fine Works of Chinese Hard Brush Calligraphy Artists”, “Selection of Guangdong Taiwan Calligraphy and Rushing Works”, “Exhibition of Guangdong Celebrities and Famous Calligraphers” and “Collection of Works of Guangzhou Calligraphers Association”, “Collection of Guangzhou Xiangxue Calligraphy and Painting”. His students have won awards in various national calligraphy competitions and have been selected for many calligraphy collections such as “International Collection of Calligraphy and Painting for Youth”, and many of his students’ works have been sent to Japan, Singapore, Russia, and other countries for exhibitions and awards.
In recent years, the calligraphy exhibition and the painting and calligraphy exhibition of Ye Chongguang’s teachers and students held in Guangzhou have been well received by all walks of life, and have been reported in more than ten newspapers, including the Southern Daily, Yangcheng Evening News, Guangzhou Daily, and Guangdong-Hong Kong Information News. Ye Chongguang’s works of calligraphy and painting have been circulated in the motherland and collected by the Guangzhou Municipal Government and the Guangzhou Library, as well as by international friends in the United States, Japan, Singapore, and Hong Kong, Australia, and Taiwan.
