Zhong Zhenyong

Zhong Zhenyong, born in 1951 in Guangzhou, Guangdong, and hailing from Shachong, Nansha, is known by the pseudonym “Yao Xinglouzhu.” He is currently a member of the Guangzhou Artists Association, a member of the Guangdong Couplets and Calligraphy Academy, the Assistant Director of the Kaishu Committee at the Couplets and Calligraphy Academy, and an academician at the Nanshan Book Academy in Guangdong.

Notable works include “Turning the Battle” and “Wu De Zai Fu.” In 2017, his work was selected for the “Jiangshan Yongtai One – Celebrating the 19th National Congress of the Party and the 90th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Liberation Army National Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition,” with the exhibited pieces “Adding Flowers to the Brocade.” In 2016, his work was chosen for the “World Beautiful Because of You – China Dream and Strong Army Dream, Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Red Army’s Long March Victory” national calligraphy and painting exhibition, with the exhibited pieces “A Good Premier for the People” and “Autumn Beauty.” In the same year, his work was included in the joint exhibition “Ink Fragrance Fills Hai Zhu” at the Haizhu District Cultural Center in Guangzhou, with the piece “Red Lanterns” as a promotional artwork.

In 2015, he was honored with the Certificate of Excellence in the “Commemorating the 70th Anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression Art Exhibition” in Guangzhou, with works including “Springtime Story” and “Caring.” In 2014, his work was selected for the “Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration and National Day Celebration Calligraphy and Painting Joint Exhibition” at the Haizhu District Cultural Center in Guangzhou, with the piece “Spring Breeze.” In 2013, his work was selected for the “Guangzhou Mass Calligraphy and Painting Art Exhibition,” and one of his exhibited pieces received an “Outstanding Award.”

Zhong Zhenyong’s works have been collected by institutions such as the Guangdong Overseas Chinese Museum, Maihuasan Academy, Huayan Temple in Huadu, Guangdong College, Nanshan Book Academy in Guangdong, as well as numerous businesses and organizations. Private collectors from Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, and overseas regions have also acquired his artwork.
