Zhang Renyou

Zhang Renyou, a native of Guangzhou, specializes in Chinese painting, calligraphy, arts and crafts, and children’s art. He is a professional calligrapher and painter, Chinese artist, vice president of Guangdong Baida Painting Institute, vice secretary-general of Guangzhou Chinese Painting Association and director of Flower and Bird Painting Art Committee, vice secretary-general of Zengcheng City Art Association, director of Guangzhou Workers Painting and Calligraphy Association, art consultant of Guangzhou Thirteen Houses Chamber of Commerce, member of Guangdong Art Association, member of Guangzhou Art Association.
He graduated from the Central Television University and Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, and was trained by famous artists such as Xu Beihong’s disciple Ji Meiwen, Lingnan School masters Ye Luye and Chen Jinzhang, Hai School master Wu Bairu, sculptor Lin Yang, oil painter Cheng Xiaoxian, watercolor master Xie Shunjing, sketching master Kwong Sheng, art history master Situ Chang, modern landscape representative Zhu Yongcheng and other famous professors. He has worked as an art teacher in primary and secondary schools, and is currently a lecturer in Chinese painting at Guangzhou Adult University. His works are unique for their eclecticism between the East and the West, their incorporation of the ancient and the modern, and their combination of work and writing, and their Lingnan charm. He is good at painting flowers and birds, landscapes, figures, etc. His works are mostly loved and collected in the United States, Australia, Japan, Canada, Britain, Russia, Malaysia, Singapore and other countries, as well as by his compatriots in Hong Kong and Taiwan, and have been exhibited on tour in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, and won many awards in various exhibitions.
