Xu Jinhong is a native of Yanzhou, Shandong Province, and is known by his family name Xinhan and his fast name Mei Jing Tang.
Since his childhood, he has been influenced by his family and his love for the art of calligraphy, studying the calligraphic posters of famous calligraphers, inheriting the tradition, practicing hard and understanding well, and working hard all year round. His calligraphic works, especially in cursive, are distinguished by his mastery of the ancient but not the ancient, his style of calligraphy contains boldness, rigidity and flexibility, squareness and roundness, and his graceful, elegant and handsome style has a strong contemporary flavor.
In his long-term creative practice, he has gradually formed his own distinctive style with artistic charm, which is favored by calligraphy lovers at home and abroad and collected by many art institutions and social groups at home and abroad. His works have been sold to Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, France, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and other countries and regions.

His works have been exhibited in the “Peony Cup” International Painting and Calligraphy Grand Prix, “China Cup” National Calligraphy Grand Prix, etc., and won awards.
In 2008, he won the gold medal in the “Olympic Exhibition of Chinese Painting and Calligraphy” held in Beijing Olympic Village and was awarded the honorable title of “Olympic Art Star”;
In 2009, he was awarded the gold medal in the “4th Canadian Chinese Poetry, Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition” held in Canada, and his works were included in the collection.
