I started my art career at sewer park High School, NYC in the late 60s. My art teacher inspired me to continue my education at NYC Community College, majoring in graphic art. After graduating from college, I worked in advertising at William Esty, an advertising agency. I worked on many projects such as print ads, TV commercials, and campaigns. In the 90s, I developed my own style of abstract art using an acrylic color combination on watercolor paper and canvas. They are combinations of different hard and soft, thick and thin, brush strokes. In 2019-2020, my brushwork was developing in another direction with the color combinations. Now, I’m starting to create another style with Chinese Calligrphers to incorporate Chinese brush art on top of my modern art background. It’s the combination of Eastern and Western work.
