Kong Sumei is the Chairperson of the Guangdong Calligraphers Association, a member of the Guangdong Calligraphy and Painting Institute, the Secretary of the Foshan Calligraphers Association and the Foshan Calligraphy and Painting Institute, a member of the Foshan Arts and Crafts Museum, and a member of the Chancheng District Cultural Center in Foshan City.
From a young age, she has had a passion for painting. In the 1980s, she studied painting with art teachers, and from the 1990s to the 2000s, she devoted herself to the study of craft painting. After the year 2000, she transitioned to the study of traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy. Her works have been selected multiple times for various art exhibitions, book exhibitions, and art publications, and she has received numerous art awards and distinctions. Two of her works are held in the Foshan Chancheng District Archives.
