Fang Yu

Fang Yu, of Han ethnicity, was born on April 8, 2012, and currently attends Denghu Elementary School in the Guicheng Street district. Under the mentorship of the renowned calligrapher Li Cilin, she has received a series of accolades, including:

1. Second Prize in Fine Arts at the 24th National Primary School Students’ Painting and Calligraphy Competition.
2. Honored as an “Outstanding Student” in the South China Sea area in 2018-2019.
3. Awarded the title of “Outstanding Young Performer” by the South China Sea District Education Bureau during the inaugural “Spring Festival Children’s Art Gala” in 2022.
4. First Prize in the 2019-2020 South China Sea District Comprehensive Practical Activities Summer Homework Evaluation for her work “Harmony in the Family, Prosperity in All.”
5. Second Prize in the 2019-2020 South China Sea District Comprehensive Practical Activities Winter Homework Evaluation for her piece “Agricultural Culture.”
6. Special Prize in the South China Sea District Comprehensive Works Review for the first semester of 2022 for her creation “Agricultural Culture.”
7. She received an “Outstanding Award” from the Foshan City Education Office and Foshan Charity Association in the “Respect and Care for the Elderly” hand-copying competition during the seventh “Love the Sunset Years” event.
8. Her essay “The Chrysanthemum Garden Is Truly Beautiful” was published in the “Pearl River Youth Magazine” in 2021.
9. Yufang secured a Third Prize from the Foshan City Education Bureau and the Foshan City Science and Technology Bureau in the 18th South China Sea District “Zhan Tianyou Cup” Youth Science and Technology Innovation Competition.
10. She achieved a First Prize in Calligraphy in the 25th National Primary School Students’ Painting and Calligraphy Competition.
11. In the 19th South China Sea District “Zhan Tianyou Cup” Youth Science and Technology Innovation Competition, she once again earned a Third Prize from the Foshan City Education Bureau and the Foshan City Science and Technology Bureau.
12. She was recognized as an “Outstanding Speaker” and received the title of “Writing Star” in the fifth season of the Guangdong “Young Reading Ambassador” activity.
13. In the 2023 Guicheng Street District Education System “Enhancing Cultural Confidence, Improving Living Environment” Winter Vacation Activity, her work “Understanding Traditional Customs, Savoring the Flavor of the New Year” was awarded a First Prize by the Education Bureau.
14. In the sixth season of the Guangdong “Young Reading Ambassador” activity, she was honored with titles like “Outstanding Speaker,” “Writing Star,” and “Reading Star.”
15. Her essay “Gaining Life Insights Through Reading Folk Stories” was published in a nationwide synchronous writing competition in 2023.
16. Yufang received the title of “Scriptwriting Expert” for four consecutive years from 2019 to 2022 at the Guangdong “Writing Classic Poems and Essays, Inheriting Chinese Culture” Conference.
17. Her essays, including “A Poetic Encounter in Jian Shui Township” and “A Wonderful Childhood: Tian Niu’s Vacation,” were published multiple times in the “Guicheng Weekly.”
18. Her artworks, such as “Cheering for Our Motherland” and “The Chinese Dream – 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Party,” were featured several times on Denghu Elementary School’s public platform.
