Fang Ling, born in 1955, is a native of Chongqing. Since his childhood, he was influenced by his mother and the “Cultural Revolution”, and he loves art, especially painting. Since the 1970s, he started to learn painting on his own, and in the early 1980s, under the influence of the famous painter Mr. Su Baozhen, he began to specialize in ink grapes. In recent years, his works have participated in many national exhibitions and won various honors and awards, and his work “Fruitful” was made into a postcard by the National Post Office and released to the public.
On January 6, 2015, he successfully held a solo grape painting exhibition in Hong Kong.
Fang Ling is now a member of Chongqing Art Association, Chongqing Yuzhong District Art Association, director of Chongqing Painting and Calligraphy Society, member of Chinese Calligraphers and Painters Association, senior painter of Beijing Huaxia National Art Painting and Calligraphy Institute, outside painter of Yangzhou Eight Monsters Painting Institute, lifetime visiting professor of Guangdong Shanyue Art Institute, honorary goujin of Turpan Grapevine.
