Chen Yunsheng, a native of Foshan, Guangdong, studied at South China University of Arts and Letters in Chinese Painting, the Advanced Study Course of Heavy Color Painting at the Central Academy of Fine Arts (under the tutelage of renowned heavy color painters Prof. Jiang Cai Ping and Prof. Xu Ren Long), the Master’s Degree in Fine Arts at the Graduate School of the China Academy of Art, and the Doctoral Course in Chinese Painting. Now he is an assistant professor in the studio of Prof. Jiang Cai-Ping, the doctoral supervisor of the Graduate School of China Academy of Art, and a professor and graduate supervisor of the Asian Academy of Arts. His works have participated in various important national exhibitions and won awards. He has assisted Professor Xu Renlong of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in completing large works such as “Scenery of the North” and “Yangtze River Miles”, and his works have been displayed and collected in important national venues such as the Great Hall of the People, the Foreign Liaison Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, and the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse.
