Chen Hongbang

Chen Hongbang, male, Han nationality, No. Tianya Wanderer, national level artist, was born in 1957 in Taishan City, Guangdong Province, graduated from university, and has loved painting and calligraphy since childhood. During his study at the School of Administration and Management of South China Normal University, he was taught by Professor Zhang Guiguang (the current Chairman of Guangdong Calligraphers Association), and during his working life, he was taught by the former President of the China National Academy of Painting, Long Rui’s studio, and by Du Dakai’s studio, a famous landscape painter, a member of the Chinese Artists Association, a national-level artist, and a tutor of the Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University. He also studied at the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts and the Correspondence University of Chinese Painting and Calligraphy in his spare time. He often travels to the famous mountains and rivers, prosperous cities, art schools and bookstores in the country. By holding solo exhibitions, participating in joint exhibitions and national, provincial and municipal painting and calligraphy competitions, listening extensively to the teachings of famous artists, and learning diligently, his art level of painting and calligraphy has been improving. Among them, the Chinese painting “Xiang Yun Xi Ning” won the silver medal in the “Boao National Exhibition of Calligraphy and Fine Arts” co-sponsored by the Chinese Academy of Chinese Painting, the Chinese Academy of Calligraphy and Fine Arts and the Asia Boao Art Institute, and was also awarded the medal of “Boao Asian Calligraphy and Painting Master”. His calligraphy “Spirit of Dragon and Horse” was recommended and collected by CCTV at the same time with the calligraphy works of Guo Shaogang, the president of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts and Chen Jingshu, the chairman of Guangdong Calligraphers Association. A large number of calligraphy and painting works have been collected by overseas Chinese, compatriots in Hong Kong and Macao, as well as domestic dignitaries and entrepreneurs. He is now an academician of the Chinese Academy of Chinese Painting, a member of the Chinese Landscape Painting Association, an academician of the Chinese Landscape Painting Creation Institute of the Chinese and Foreign Cultural Exchange Center of the Ministry of Culture, a member of the Chinese Hard Brush Calligraphers Association, a vice chairman of the Chinese Modern Young Calligraphers and Painters Association, and the Guangdong liaison of the Chinese Dream “Famous Calligraphers and Painters into Ten Thousand Homes”. His name was compiled into the “Chinese Art Talents Directory” and his works were compiled into the “Selected Works of Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Celebrities”.
